Growth Story

In 1992, Mahindra Engineering and Chemical Products Ltd. (MECP) entered into technical collaboration with Tsubakimoto Bulk Systems Corp., Japan (TBS) to introduce high performance chain bucket elevators and chain conveyors to the Indian cement industry. Over the years, MECP established itself as a supplier of quality products. It expanded its product range and entered into unit handling products in association with Tsubakimoto Chain Co.

In 2010, MECP's business was transferred to a newly established company called Mahindra Conveyor Systems Pvt. Ltd (MCS), with equity participation from TBS. MCS set up a new manufacturing plant at Pirangut, Pune, in 2011. The company also introduced a complete range of unit handling products.

In July 2014, MCS entered into a joint venture with Japan's Tsubakimoto Chain Company, leading to the formation of Mahindra Tsubaki Conveyor Systems Pvt. Ltd. with extensive support from Mahindra Partners. Recently the company has also supplied equipment for export orders to the Fertilizer, Waste & Energy sector. The company looks forward to introducing new technologies and products for Indian customers while supplying Tsubaki customers in markets overseas.
