This program trains men and women between 18 and 26 years of age in specialized technical and professional skills so they are readily employed into high demand service industries. Mahindra Namaste offers domain specific courses in the IT/ITES, hospitality, retail and automotive sectors. The curriculum is satellite based with highly trained professionals and the best of infrastructure at training centres in Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore. On course completion, Mahindra Namaste facilitates employment for students who meet the eligibility criteria.
Apart from vocational courses, Mahindra Namaste also offers career readiness courses to students in the final/ pre-final year of their academic programs. These are customized and include training in life skills, communication skills and personality development.
Mahindra Namaste partners with the government, NSDC and donor agencies to implement large scale training programs in identified rural and urban areas. It has been selected as one the partners for training final and pre-final year students at colleges affiliated to Pune University.
The success of Mahindra Pride School proved there was a larger need to appropriately skill massive numbers of unemployed youth for the burgeoning service sector, where there is huge demand for a skilled job-ready workforce at the entry level. Mahindra Namaste Private Limited (MNPL), a social-for-profit enterprise, was therefore formed with inputs from Naandi and Mahindra Pride School in 2013.
Apart from the four sectors it already caters to, Namaste intends to start courses in sectors such as construction and logistics. In order to scale its functions and provide need-based customized solutions, the company intends to leverage technology that will act as a huge enabler to reach out to new customers and explore untapped markets. It is also aggressively looking at tie-ups with academic institutions and corporates to accomplish its vision of transforming a million lives by 2022.
