Mahindra Partners strongly believes in the power of collective wisdom of functional subject matter experts. Through the formation of Councils, it aims to leverage synergies and acquaint its portfolio companies with the latest functional trends and best practices deployed within and outside the Mahindra Group, enabling functional experts to partner with business more effectively and drive performance.
The HR Council was started with a view to co-create and channel the HR agenda of Mahindra Partners portfolio companies keeping industry best practices in mind. In 2014 the EVOLVE framework was developed to provide a base to the projects rolled out by the Council. In the past year, the Council has witnessed the launch of path-breaking programmes like The Mind Games and Meet the Lead and has overseen the formation of the Sector Diversity Council.
In recognition of the growing relevance of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) at the workplace, Mahindra Partners formed a Sector level Diversity Council. The role of the Council is to provide strategic direction to our portfolio companies to initiate the D&I journey in their respective businesses. Each company has determined its own roadmap in accordance with the 4 box implementation framework of Policies, Infrastructure, Mentoring/Networks and Training. Awareness and Sensitization campaigns have been launched and a Gender Sensitization workshop is in the offing.
The highlight of the Finance Council's many initiatives are its Knowledge Sessions. It involves discussions on issues faced by CFOs with both CFOs and external consultants coming together to brainstorm and share solutions to these issues. Sessions are also held by members of the Mahindra Corporate Finance team on relevant issues like efficient utilization of cash and optimizing cash flow.
The IT Council holds regular sessions where the IT heads of Mahindra Partners portfolio companies share resources, discuss issues and generate solutions to help make the life of employees easier with technology.
